The ongoing development of products and services is one of the core competences of Jackcontrol. Thus, besides external development work for clients, Jackcontrol is committed mainly to research and development within the firm itself. This leads to continuing innovation and a constant improvement of products and services as also to a deepened understanding of the physical fundamentals. At the same time, thanks to the firm's own practice-oriented research and development work for commissioned or specific client problems, up-to-date and efficient solutions can be obtained, both in the area hardware/software and in applications in the fields of mechanical, structural and hydraulic engineering.
A research and development milestone was the setting-up in 2009 of the equipment to test joints in the workshops at Buchholz/Glarus. With this testing facility, based on the nominal pipe diameter DN 1000, force and displacement- controlled tests on pressure transmission systems could be carried out with loads of up to 3000 kN. A practice-oriented and motived team of specialists from the disciplines of mechanics, structural design, hydraulics, electro-technology and computer programming is always happy to face the challenge of new developments and is a guarantee for innovative and practical solutions.
