Baltic Sea Outfall completed in Poland! 🌊

19 Aug 2026

Recently, SANIMET– Microtunnelling Company completed an impressive 1.1 km ID2000 tunnelling drive near Gdańsk.

A remarkable achievement, with upto 200 m of jacking progress per week and a maximum jacking force of around 400 t.

The project is part of GAZ-SYSTEMFSRU development in the Gulf of Gdańsk. FSRU stands for Floating Storage and RegasificationUnit — essentially a floating LNG terminal that can receive, storeand regasify LNG before it enters the gas transmission network.

We’re proud to have supported the project with our MSS Monitoring System, providing valuable real-time insight throughout the drive. The system enabledreliable monitoring of key parameters such as pipe joint angles, jacking forces and skin friction, helping the team keep a close eye on the tunnel’s performance during thischallenging drive.

In addition, our MT.connecthardware enabled efficient and reliable communication throughout the tunnel.

Congratulations to the entire SANIMETteam and everyone involved in successfully delivering thisimpressive project! 👏
